Why do you need a website?
For any business today having a strong online presence is not just an option, but a necessity. At the heart of your online presence lies your website. If you don’t already have a website, you might not think that you need one, but unfortunately to stay competitive in 2023 and beyond, you need to have a website for your business.
A website acts as your digital storefront, open 24/7, 365 days a year. It’s like having a dedicated salesperson working tirelessly to attract and engage potential customers, even when your physical store is closed. Your website is a go-to resource for anyone interested in what you offer that you don’t have to constantly manage. Using your website effectively can even alleviate sales pressure on your team.
By incorporating contact forms, live chats, or even e-commerce functionalities, you can seamlessly interact with visitors, answer inquiries, and convert leads into loyal customers. It’s a powerful tool for nurturing relationships and fostering customer loyalty with minimal effort on the part of your sales team.
Another benefit of a website is that it allows you to reach a much wider audience than traditional marketing methods. With SEO, you can enhance your website’s visibility, making it easier for potential customers to find you at both a local and national level, expanding your customer base and boosting revenue potential.
A more physical benefit of a website is that it offers a platform to build credibility and trust. Especially since the number of scams on the rise since COVID, customers expect to be able to verify your website exists and is genuine. By including customer testimonials, case studies, and relevant content, you can establish yourself as an authority in your sector, further enhancing your reputation.
So, you know that you need a website, but it’s understandable if you’re not sure where to start. While there is the option to create a website using a service yourself, this means you’re responsible for every aspect of your website including design, development and maintenance.
If you’re already busy running your business and managing your team, you don’t need the extra stress of setting up your website. That’s where we’re happy to help!
Our expert teams will handle your project every step of the way so you just have to sit back, relax and watch your new website come to life.
How we work
We understand that a website is a big investment, one that’s close to your heart and personal. Our website development process has been created to give you visibility every step of the way and plenty of opportunities for you to feedback and help create a website you want and that works for you.
First meeting & brand discovery – what matters to you?
We don’t believe in a cookie cutter approach to design, marketing or development. Your business and your identity is your own and we want to give you a solution that matches your needs. We will sit down with you and your team to find out what it is you need, what you like, what you don’t like and how our products and services can help improve the day to day running of your business and help you grow.
Research – what’s currently working, what can be improved…
If you already have an existing website, before we begin we believe that it’s important to carry out a research phase. We’ll use analytics tools to view and analyse how your customers interact with your current website. This will highlight what’s working and what isn’t so we can keep this in mind for new designs and developments.
We’ll also engage in surveys to ask your team and customers their impressions of the website and where they struggle to engage with it in its current form. This is where we’ll also ask you for key information about your website. The functionality it needs to have and any brand considerations we need to take forward.
This stage is important, we don’t want to redesign an element for the sake of it. Everything we do is backed by experience and knowledge and this step helps improve our understanding of you, your business and your needs.
Visuals & feedback
This is an exciting stage! You’ll get the opportunity to see the first iteration of your new website and have the ability to feedback. We’ll send you a copy of the design for you to feedback and highlight anything you want us to revisit. We’ll take this feedback and create the next round of visuals.
Once you’re happy we’ll get started on building your new website.
Website development and staging websites
Depending on the complexity of your build this can be the longest stage of the process. Once visuals are approved we’ll give you a realistic timeline for when you can expect your website and we’ll keep you informed if there are any changes to this timeline.
Once the website functionality is largely put together we will share a staging website with you. This is a platform that’s hidden from the general public, but you can login securely and interact with your new website. Here you can add content and images, if we aren’t doing that for you, and check you’re happy with your website before going live.
Launch day!
It’s the day you’ve been waiting for. Once the website is complete and everyones ready, we’ll begin the process of putting it live. Our team will liaise with you to get all the relevant details so this process is simple. Once it’s all done, the website is yours to enjoy!
You can start using it and marketing it to your customers. If you’d like support beyond this stage we’ll still be available to help you market your website, manage any leads through CRM and keep your website up to date with regular security updates. When you choose Purple Orbit for your project, our expert help and advice is only ever a phone call away.
